Organiser

The Botanical Society of Scotland

The purpose of the Botanical Society of Scotland (BSS) is to advance the study of plants, algae, cryptogams, fungi, and associated organisms and then proliferate that knowledge of the part played by these organisms in Scotland’s environment, culture, history, and heritage.

BSS also provides information, education, and advice, to promote the awareness of Scotland’s flora, climate change, and management impacts on native plants, vegetation, and habitats – all with the aim to develop informed strategies for their conservation.
