Join us in celebrating Edinburgh 900 with the pop-up exhibition ‘Your Health Is for Life’. This special event highlights the rich history of leisure in Edinburgh, showcasing the vital role Edinburgh Leisure has played in promoting active lifestyles for the past 26 years and generations before.
Edinburgh Leisure is a cornerstone of the city, with venues spread across Edinburgh. Their facilities include five historic Victorian pools and of course, the iconic Royal Commonwealth Pool, six stunning golf courses, the flagship tennis centre at Craiglockhart, the International Climbing Arena at Ratho and numerous community leisure centres and sports facilities. They have proudly hosted major competitions and events such as the Climbing World and European Championships, and the Commonwealth Games, where athletes have achieved remarkable success.
The exhibition opens in September 2024 at the Royal Commonwealth Pool, perfectly timed with National Sporting Heritage Day (30 September). It highlights Edinburgh Leisure’s ongoing vision to make a positive difference to communities by creating opportunities for everyone in Edinburgh get active, stay active and achieve more.
