Event details

April - September inclusive; the first Saturday of the month at 10.30am and the third Tuesday of the month at 1pm (90 minute walk)
5th April - 16th September

Although Cramond has only been “attached” to Edinburgh for the last 100 years or so, our history goes back to hunter gatherers that were in the Cramond area 10,500 years ago one of the oldest recorded evidence of humans after the last ice age.

In addition to this we have a significant Roman history,  and iron production history and lots more.

To find out more about these items and much more treat yourselves to a stroll around the area with one of our guides who will tell you some facts (and some fictions)  about our rich heritage.

Each walk lasts 90 minutes.

Our guides are all volunteers; however we do suggest a donation of £4 per adult towards the upkeep of our exhibition centre.

Cramond Heritage Trust

Cramond Heritage Trust is a volunteer-run heritage centre that provides a permanent exhibition centre, together with extensive archives for history, archaeology and genealogy. Open to the public every summer, we also open for private tours and research purposes all the year round. Our volunteers provide guided walks around the area during the year.
