Come along to the picturesque Newhaven Harbour and join Newhaven Coastal Rowing Club at our free community festival.

Celebrate with us as we officially launch two of our community built rowing skiffs – Bow Tow and Troika.

Rowing demonstrations will take place throughout the day between Newhaven and Granton Harbours and will include our original skiff, the Wee Michael.

Enjoy listening to the Newhaven Community Choir as they entertain us with seafaring songs. Watch talented craftspeople showcasing their skills and be enthralled by tantalising tales of the sea. Be prepared for a surprise guest or two!

Discover more about your seafaring heritage at our exciting exhibition in the nearby Heart of Newhaven Community Centre. Some of our creative members will also be providing children’s sea themed craft activities at the Centre.

The Newhaven Coastal Rowing Club is based in Newhaven, Edinburgh. In 2010 we built and launched a skiff “The Wee Michael”, named after the famous “Great Michael” launched at Newhaven in 1511. Since then we’ve become a regular sight rowing out on the Forth.
