Edinburgh Lothian and Borders Police Historical Society

The Edinburgh Lothian & Borders Police Historical Society was created by six retirees from the local policing family of the composite forces.

The Society exists to identify, locate, record, interpret and preserve artefacts, photographs and documentation, relating to the history of policing in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Peebles and Scottish Borders area.

The desire is simple: to ensure and enable the heritage of policing in the south east corner of Scotland and the Scottish Borders is remembered, preserved and maintained from time immemorial.
