Pre-booking and advance payment are essential. £5 per adult or child aged 3 years or older. Children under 3 go free, but please email info@re-union.org.uk beforehand to check capacity
The Lochrin Belle Canal Boat has a lift and ramp suitable for those with limited mobility and for some wheelchair users. The main saloon of the boat and toilet are on the same level and the small outdoor deck is two steps up.

Departing from Fountainbridge Green, each trip cruises to Harrison Park and returns, giving you the chance to enjoy peaceful waterside scenery and spot local wildlife from a new perspective.

🕒 Duration: Approx. 45 minutes. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the pre-booked start time. The boat will not wait for you if you are late.
📍 Departure & return location: Outside Boroughmuir High School, near Viewforth and Bainfield Drive
☕ Refreshments: Light refreshments available on a donation basis
🚻 Toilet on board
🎟️ Booking required: All passengers aged 3+ need a ticket

These special trips are heavily subsidised thanks to support from the City of Edinburgh Council’s Edinburgh 900 programme, helping make them accessible to everyone.

🚣‍♀️ Bonus! While you’re at the canal, you’re warmly invited to watch the exciting Raft Race happening near the Leamington Liftbridge – a fun and quirky event that brings the community together for friendly competition and lots of laughs!

🌧️ Note: Trips run rain or shine. In cases of severe weather or mechanical issues, the event will take place as a static experience on board the boat.

Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust (FCCT) aims to make our local area a better place to live, work, do business and visit!

Our current activities include: running boats on the canal for community use and as a social enterprise, a large volunteering programme, a Canalside Health Walk, part of the Paths for All network, a weekly Canalside greenspace group and the organisation of community events and the Edinburgh Canal Festival.
