Back for its fifth year, the larger-than-life installations are set to bring tales of the city’s history to life across the walls of Edinburgh Castle in a unique after-dark walking trail.
Prepare to be dazzled on this family-friendly trail through the castle grounds. Experience state of the art light installations and come face to face with history as the stories of Scotland’s past unravel in a tapestry of storytelling projections. Afterwards, warm up with a drink or snack from the café or street food vendors.
This event takes place on selected dates from 22 November 2024 to 04 January 2025 with timed entry slots from 4.30pm to 7.45pm. The recommended length of time required to see and enjoy the full trail is 1 hour.
The trail is suitable for all ages, although children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
As this is an outdoor event, please dress according to the weather.
For those visitors that prefer a quieter experience, on Sunday 08 December there will be reduced capacity. The evening will feature a range of specific support including a designated quiet space, British Sign Language (BSL) tour slots, ear defenders to help manage noise and volunteer guides to support the event.
