In November 2024, Carina and Victor Contini began an extraordinary new chapter with the purchase of 700 historic olive trees in their ancestral village of Picinisco in Italy. Their Oliveto, perched 2,300ft above sea level, is home to Itrana, Marina, Maraiolo and Leccina olive varieties, many between 50 and 150 years old.
Over the past two years, Victor, supported by local experts, has lovingly restored this once-untended land. To celebrate, Victor will host an informal olive oil tasting at Contini George Street.
Guests will receive a glass of I Ciacca wine, followed by a tutored tasting of Contini’s organic extra virgin olive oil, served with homemade focaccia. Then, enjoy a supper of thoughtfully created dishes.
