Once the base of the Incorporation of Mariners and Shipmasters, Trinity House is a treasure trove of maritime treasures.
These tours have a range of activities to suit younger visitors. Discover the animals that sailors might meet on their travels and take part in an activity trail. Visit the 16th century vaults – once used as a school for young sailors to learn mathematics and navigation – and handle objects used at sea. Please allow up to 1 hour for your visit.
Family Friday Tours run at 11am every Friday from 04 July to 08 August 2025.
Trinty House is at 99 Kirkgate in Leith. The house has no visitor car par, however the area is well served by both Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams. Please note, there is disabled access to the ground floor of the house only and the vaults are down steep stairs.
