£1.00 tickets to the latest exhibition at The King’s Gallery, Palace of Holyroodhouse available to those receiving Universal Credit and other named benefits.
Reopening under its new name of The King’s Gallery, the art gallery at the Palace of Holyroodhouse relaunches with Style & Society: Dressing the Georgians, an exhibition exploring the fashions of 18th century Britain.
Running from 22 March to 22 September 2024, it will feature almost 100 works from the Royal Collection, including paintings, prints and drawings, as well as a selection of surviving period clothing and accessories. From the functional dress of laundry maids to the glittering gowns worn at court, together, they provide a fascinating insight into what life was like in Georgian Britain.
£1.00 tickets for the exhibition are available to those receiving the following benefits:
- Universal Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Pension Credit
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Jobseeker’s Allowance
Up to six people per household can claim £1.00 tickets.

- £1.00 tickets are available for Style & Society: Dressing the Georgians at The King’s Gallery, Palace of Holyroodhouse for the duration of the exhibition (22 March to 22 September 2024).
- The offer cannot be used to purchase tickets to the Palace of Holyroodhouse or separate events, workshops or lectures. Tickets must be prebooked online at Style & Society: Dressing the Georgians.
- Visitor numbers are limited, and some dates and timeslots can sell out in advance.
- £1.00 tickets are non-refundable and cannot be converted into a 1 Year Pass.
- Under 5s tickets and access companion tickets are free if you have booked £1.00 tickets.
- Supporting up-to-date ID will be required on arrival at the gallery.
