The Ivy’s Nineties Nostalgia Menu

This limited-edition menu celebrates the food, music, fashion and unmistakable spirit of the 1990s.  

From Britpop and club culture to era-defining fashion and a new wave of film and literature, the 1990s left an indelible mark on popular culture. In Scotland, the decade produced some of its most memorable cultural exports, as a new generation of musicians, writers, actors and filmmakers brought a distinctly Scottish voice to audiences around the world.

Available from 02 September until 06 October 2026, the menu invites guests to rediscover the flavours of the decade with two courses for £19.96, in a playful nod to a defining year for nineties culture.

Starters

Guests can choose from Glazed Onion Soup with gratinated cheese croutons and parsley; Gratinated Halloumi, lightly dusted and fried with fire-roasted pepper purée; or Kiln-roast Salmon Rillette, served with dark rye bread, crushed avocado, basil pesto and fresh herb salad or the Grilled Robata Chicken Skewers with Bang Bang peanut sauce –  a reimagined a guest favourite.

Mains

For mains, the 90’s Coconut Curry combines sweet potato, spinach, broccoli, sun-blushed tomatoes and lemongrass with crispy lotus root and aromatic rice. Guests can also choose Salmon Linguine, with smoked salmon in a cream sauce; Chicken Supreme, served with smoked pancetta, chestnut mushrooms and pearl onions with mashed potato; or Minute Steak, accompanied by peppercorn sauce, onions, thick-cut chips and watercress for a £4.95 supplement.

Desserts

Guests can enjoy Sticky Toffee Pudding, served with salted caramel sauce, dates, clotted cream and gold flakes (£1.95 supplement), or opt for the Best of British Mature Cheddar, accompanied by crackers, apple and celery. The Mango Vanilla Sponge combines rum-soaked sponge with mango purée, Chantilly cream and lemon balm, while the Platinum Sundae brings together hazelnut and dark chocolate with bourbon vanilla ice cream.

Drinks

The Ivy has partnered with Cointreau on two limited-edition cocktails inspired by the decade’s unforgettable soundtrack. Champagne Supernova (£12.50) combines Cointreau, cherry and lemon, topped with Champagne, while the Spice Girls (£13.50) brings together Cointreau Spicy, The Botanist gin, rhubarb, hot honey and cranberry for a playful toast to two unmistakable musical moments from the era.
