Palace of Holyroodhouse Offer

Palace of Holyroodhouse and Queen Elizabeth II Private Apartments Tour Offer

The Palace of Holyroodhouse stands at the end of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile against the spectacular backdrop of Arthur’s Seat. It offers fascinating tours as The King’s official residence in Edinburgh and the home of Scottish royal history.

For 2026 only, the Palace is opening the Private Apartments of Queen Elizabeth II for exclusive tours in small groups led by expert guides. Running until 10 September to celebrate the centenary of her birth, don’t miss this intimate glimpse into the rooms where Her late Majesty worked and relaxed.

Your ticket also includes entry to the Palace and its self-led multimedia guide. Explore the Palace’s close associations with some of Scotland’s best known historical figures, such as Mary, Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. From the Medieval Abbey to art, history and beautiful gardens, there is something for everyone on this tour. And a stop at the Café is a must on any visit for a coffee, lunch or sweet treat.

You can enjoy unlimited re-admission to the Palace for a year by converting your ticket to a 1-Year Pass. Your Pass is only valid for standard admission to the Palace, not for a repeat exclusive guided tour.

The Palace of Holyroodhouse is largely accessible, with some restrictions in Mary, Queen of Scots’ rooms. Please visit our website for full details.
