Maid of the Forth Seal Pup Cruise Resident Preview

Family owned and operated Maid of the Forth offer a variety of award-winning sightseeing cruises on the Firth of Forth. Departing from Hawes Pier in South Queensferry, cruise under the Forth Bridges and enjoy breathtaking views of Edinburgh and Fife from the panoramic top deck.

The Seal Pup Cruise is a 3 hour sightseeing cruise around the Firth of Forth, giving passengers the opportunity to respectively view the famous grey seal pups around Inchkeith Island. Throughout the cruise, enjoy the onboard commentary covering the famous history, wildlife and landmarks of the area.

Exclusively for residents with an EH postcode, we’re offering 4 pairs of tickets for the Seal Pup Cruise for selected dates in November 2026. Not only that, but each winner will also receive a complimentary seal spotting guide, a seal-themed gift bag, a hot drink voucher, and exclusive access to visit the skipper’s wheelhouse during the cruise, which is usually off-limits to passengers.

Terms and conditions

• This competition is open to residents with an EH postcode.
• Each winner will receive two (2) tickets for one of the dates they have chosen. These are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for any other time, date or cruise.
• A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
• All entrants must be aged 18+ years. A child (aged 5 to 15 years old) may accompany an adult as their guest.
• Entries closes at midnight on Sunday 30 August 2026.
• All winners will be drawn at random.
• All winners agree to RSVP within 48 hours of being notified by email, otherwise, their place will be allocated to the next randomly drawn winner.
• All winners agree to their contact details (name, telephone number and email address) being passed to Maid of the Forth for the delivery of this preview.
• Any additional spend (travel, accommodation, food and drink etc) will be at the discretion and expense of the prize winners.
• The Seal Pup Cruise is suitable for adults, and children aged between 5 and 15 years old.
• Cruises depart from Hawes Pier in South Queensferry at 12pm and return back to Hawes Pier around 3pm.
• There will be no landing onto Inchkeith Island on this trip, but passengers will be able to see the seal pups from onboard the Maid of the Forth.
• Warm, waterproof clothing is advised. Sturdy, flat, non-slip footwear for navigating the open decks is also recommended.
• The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
• The prize is not transferrable or refundable and cannot be sold. No cash alternative will be offered.
• The decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final, binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
