The Karate Kid – The Musical – Resident Preview

This June, an iconic 80s movie comes to Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre with spectacular musical numbers and dazzlingly inventive choreography.

The Karate Kid – The Musical tells the story of Daniel, the new kid in town trying to fit in until he becomes the target of Cobra Kai’s relentless star student, Johnny. Underestimated and outmatched, Daniel struggles to find his footing, until Ali, Johnny’s ex, sees something in Daniel that no one else does. As Johnny refuses to step aside, teenage rivalry turns into something more sinister. Daniel discovers guidance from Mr. Miyagi who teaches him that karate isn’t about fighting, it’s about balance, respect and that the greatest victories are won from within.

Honouring the roots of the timeless story, this musical celebrates resilience, mentorship, and the quiet strength that bridges generations.

• This competition is open to residents with an EH postcode.
• Tickets are for The Karate Kid – The Musical at 7.30pm on Tuesday 23 June 2026 at Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre. These are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for any other time, date or show.
• A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
• All entrants must be aged 18+ years. (A child/children may accompany an adult as the winner’s guest’s).
• Four (4) tickets are available per winner.
• Entries closes at midnight on Sunday 07 June 2026.
• All winners will be drawn at random.
• All winners agree to RSVP within 48 hours of being notified, otherwise, their place will be allocated to the next randomly drawn winner.
• All winners agree to their contact details (name, telephone number and email address) being passed to Capital Theatres for the delivery of this preview.
• Any additional spend (travel, accommodation, food and drink etc) will be at the discretion and expense of the prize winners.
• The Karate Kid – The Musical is suitable for ages 6 years+. The show contains flashing lights, theatrical haze, loud music and strobe effects.
• The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
• The prize is not transferrable or refundable and cannot be sold. No cash alternative will be offered.
• The decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final, binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
