Experience Scotland in a whole new light. Discover over 150 years of Scotland’s art in your new Scottish galleries. Dive into dramatic landscapes, meet the people who made Scotland and be wowed by colour.

This preview event will feature live music performances, new audio-guide content, trails and family-friendly activities. Competition winners will also get a guided tour packed with deeper insights from Freya Spoor, Assistant Curator of Scottish and European Art, National Galleries of Scotland.

We are offering 25 Edinburgh residents the opportunity to win 2 tickets to see the stunning new galleries before the official public launch.

Terms and conditions

• This reward is only valid for residents with a city of Edinburgh postcode. Check here to confirm if your postcode qualifies. Contact and address details will be required when entering.
• 25 winners will be selected at random to win one pair of tickets to see the stunning new galleries at National Galleries of Scotland: National on Friday 29 September 2023, from 2pm to 5pm.
• All winners are available on the event date highlighted above.
• Winners agree to RSVP within 72 hours of being notified, otherwise, their prize will be reallocated to the next winner.
• Winners names will be handed to the National Galleries for further confirmation, including co-ordinating the name of their partner.
• This prize is not transferrable and cannot be sold.
• A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
• Employees of National Galleries of Scotland or their family members, or anyone else connected with the prize draw may not enter the prize draw.
• The winner will be drawn at random.
• The decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final, binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The prize draw and these Terms and Conditions will be governed exclusively by Scots law.
• The competition closes at midnight on 10 September 2023.
