Scotland’s Rural College specialises in subjects concerning existing and emerging land-based industries and pursuits. Courses on offer include applied biological and animal sciences, sustainable land-use, and environmental protection and management.
As more people take an interest in the human impact on land, their interest in learning about it grows, and there has been an increase in applications to the SRUC in recent years. The SRUC Edinburgh Campus offers courses at HNC, HND and degree level and provides a range of postgraduate and flexible/distance learning programmes.
This unique institution also has an innovative and leading research and development programme and runs an international advisory and consultancy service.
SRUC has six campuses across Scotland, Aberdeen, Ayr, Barony, Edinburgh, Elmwood and Oatridge.
Courses are available across the full spectrum, from HNC, HND, degree, honours degree, and postgraduate level. Degrees are awarded by the University of Edinburgh and University of Glasgow, with some Horticulture courses offered in conjunction with the Royal Botanic Gardens of Edinburgh.
