Flower Festival 900 – an opportunity to see around Duddingston Kirk and hear some of its stories. Flowers depicting former members such as Walter Scott, Joan Carfrae (Mrs Alan Pinkerton of the Pinkerton Detective agency) and Rev John Thomson (of we are a’ Joch Tamson’s bairns) among others. The building is 900 years old this year.

Duddingston Kirk is the local parish church for the Church of Scotland in the parish of Duddingston in south-east Edinburgh.
The Church of Scotland is Reformed and Presbyterian, and acknowledges the Lord Jesus Christ as sole head of the Church.
Worship has been taking place in Duddingston Kirk since the twelfth century.
