In Citadel Arts Group’s project LeithCustoms, the Leith-based company will develop a new, site-specific play based on the stories of a group of retired officials who worked in Leith Custom House through the 1970s. The group will use the interviews to create a lively drama portraying the life of this historical building.

Custom House has made a significant contribution to the life and heritage of the Edinburgh’s Port whose history Citadel Arts Group has celebrated for over 20 years. The play will be performed in and around Custom House where the events actually took place.
