The event will celebrate and examine the role that Craigmillar Castle Park has played in the life of the community and the city in the past, and the role it can have in the future. It involves promoting cultural traditions and stories linking in with the history of Craigmillar Castle, the parklands which include the recently established Little France Park and the industrial heritage of the area. The wider local community will be invited to take part in the event where the audience is taken on a journey through the woodlands and landscape of the park, led by a story-teller. The stories have historical references to how the woodlands were formed and the types of activities that occurred, and what role this natural heritage has in the future.
