Without the correct management grasslands can become dominated by a few fast growing species. Through a ‘cut and lift’ management regime we can ensure a longer flowering season and ensure a mosaic of habitats that supports the widest range of wildlife.

All equipment and training will be provided on the day; although it is not necessary volunteers can bring their own gloves and equipment if they so wish.

No experience is necessary and we welcome all individuals equally.

NB New volunteers will be required to complete a welfare form before attending. Please notify josef.williams@tcv.org.uk once registered to have a welfare form sent to you.

What3words:///nuns.soup.light – please note this event takes place in the area of park to the south of Queensferry Road and Orchard Park North.

The Conservation Volunteers

For more than 60 years, The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) has brought people together to create, improve and care for green spaces – be they local parks or community gardens, Local Nature Reserves or Sites of Special Scientific Interest, school or hospital grounds to name just a few – recognising that this delivers multiple outcomes, not just for the environment, but for people and communities too.
