The main entrance has four steps. Due to the historic nature of the building there is no lift and no ramp. There is level access from the main entrance to the Castle Gardens and outdoor accessible toilets

For Armistice Day 2024 we will remember the essential contribution of women at this time as spies, pilots, munitions workers, land girls, lumberjills and many more. The list is endless!

Linda McDonald is a former teacher and a member of Edinburgh Living History, based in Lauriston Castle. She has an interest in researching women’s history.
