The City Café

The City Cafe's belly busting all-day breakfast menu is full of indulgent choices and their vanilla infused pancakes don't disappoint. Served with maple syrup and your choice of either fresh berries or Nutella, the City Café are deservedly proud of their towering pancake stacks. Choose from a stack of three or, if you're feeling ambitious, a stack of 5! Thankfully the Royal Mile is just around the corner for a brisk walk afterwards if you've got that "filled to the brim" feeling.

The Haven is a popular spot with locals who are always keen to shout about their fantastic breakfast menu. Order the pancakes and you'll be served two sizable, thick and fluffy pancakes served with maple and, with or without, bacon - look out for their special toppings too. If you have a vegan or vegetarian in your life, a visit to Seeds for the Soul is a must. This completely vegan cafe is famous for its brunch offering, especially their sweet and savoury pancakes. Forming part of the Rutland Hotel in Edinburgh’s West End, The Huxley’s mouth-watering pancakes are part of their daily breakfast menu served from 8am-11am. Freshly made and dribbled with maple syrup, their pancakes can be served with bacon or blueberry compote.
