Born and educated in Edinburgh, Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 – 1894) is the world-renowned author of classis such as Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. This red-carpet ticketed event will not only celebrate Stevenson’s literary career but will also honour the author’s family’s heritage as prominent lighthouse engineers.

Acting legend and Robert Louis Stevenson enthusiast Nigel Planer (The Young Ones) will be guest speaker, enthralling guests with musings on Stevenson’s life. While traditional Scottish storyteller, Graeme Johncock will provide guests with a captivating glimpse into the rich history and folklore of the Stevenson family.

For over 35 years, Fingal navigated the waters of the west and north of Scotland, ferrying lighthouse keepers, essential supplies and maintenance crew to lighthouses. Since retiring from Northern Lighthouse Board service, Fingal has been transformed into a stunning boutique hotel.

Showcasing the hotel’s exquisite dining, the evening also includes canapes and a sumptuous four-course dinner, accompanied by traditional Scottish music.
