From 01 to 03 August 2025, over 70 artists and makers open their studio doors for a weekend of discovery, inspiration, and beautiful work. This anniversary edition offers a unique chance to explore four floors of working studios and meet the people behind some of Scotland’s most exciting contemporary art, design, and craft – all within walking distance of The Shore in Leith.

Founded in the early 2000s in a former seed warehouse, Coburg House has grown into a pillar of the local arts community. Its Open Studios weekends have long been a much-anticipated fixture in the city’s cultural calendar, offering an alternative to the high street and a chance to connect directly with artists.

Choose from ceramic, jewellery, textiles, illustrators and much more. Browse the stalls and discover how several artists are reusing, repurposing or recycling their materials to create sustainable, wearable works of art.

The event kicks off on Friday 01 August (6 to 9pm), with music, and drinks provided by Moonwake Beer Co. and Leith Spirits, and a first look at the studios. Doors reopen over the weekend from 10am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday, with café refreshments from Domenicos.

Visitors should be aware that, due to the nature and age of the building, there are several stairs with Coburg House.
