Open to children currently in Primary 4 and Primary 5, St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral and St Mary’s Music School are holding a Chorister Pre-Audition Afternoon.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a unique tradition that began in 1880.
The open session is designed for young singers who are interested in joining the Choir of St Mary’s Cathedral as a chorister and being educated at St Mary’s Music School. During the course of the afternoon, children will take part in a series of activities aimed at identifying potential and suitability for chorister training.
The Cathedral is located on Palmerston Place in the West End. The nearest Edinburgh Trams stop is West End, while several of Lothian Buses routes serve the area on a regular basis. Two of the Cathedral’s main doors are wheelchair accessible. An accessible toilet is available in the nearby Walpole Hall.
