Set in the beautiful surroundings of Dalkeith Palace within Dalkeith Country Park and running from 08 September to 06 October 2024, DalkeithPhoto features a number of photographed-themed events.
DalkeithPhoto Symposium on 07 September will host a panel of photography experts who will delve into the art of photography through thought-provoking talks and discussions.
DalkeithPhoto Exhibitions (08 September to 06 October) comprises 4 different exhibitions. Amongst the exhibits that visitors will be able to see include artist’s Calum Colvin images of renowned historical figures, including Charles Edward Stuart (who stayed at Dalkeith Palace in 1745). While Squaring the Circles of Confusion will feature the work of several artists and techniques, and explore modern issues such as Alzheimer’s, cultural identity, depression and religion.
If you fancy learning more about early photography practices, DalkeithPhoto Workshops (22 September to 06 October) offer a number of practical events.
Suitable for amateurs or professional photographers, Portfolio Reviews (08 September to 06 October) provides an opportunity to have your work reviewed by established photography experts.
Dalkeith Country Park is around 30 minutes commute from the centre of Edinburgh. Lothian Buses 3, 33 or 49 run a regular service to Dalkeith High Street. It is then a 5 to 10 minute walk to the park.
