Holyrood Distillery’s expert storytellers have come together to share some spine-chilling tales of local legends, while treating guests to a range of delicious cocktails and spirits.

Start the evening in the distillery lounge with a warming toddy, before discovering your inner mixologist with a cocktail-making session.  As you enjoy your drink, hear the fascinating origins of witches in Scotland and their unlikely connections to Edinburgh’s brewing heritage.

Then it’s time to move to the whisky production floor. Learn how one of Holyrood Distillery’s whisky recipes was inspired by the eerie antics of Edinburgh’s most notorious murderers – Burke and Hare – accompanied with a taste of their ‘Black Cork’ new-make spirit.

The evening concludes in the Cask Room. Under the glow of candlelight, guests will be able to savour a single malt whisky, accompanied with some truly frightful (but delightful) tales of neighbouring Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat.

This event is open to those aged 18+ years only.

The distillery has lift access to all tour areas. Seating is provided throughout the tour route, there is also an on-site wheelchair available for anyone requiring it during their visit. The service counter in the Visitor Centre shop (check-in desk) is an accessible height for wheelchair users. Fully accessible washroom facilities are available.
