Held in conjunction with World Gaelic Week, an international festival connecting people across the globe to promote Scottish Gaelic, Gaelic Week Edinburgh – Seachdain Gàidhlig Dhùn Èideann – will take place at venues across the city.

This year, the theme is use it or lose it and the large programme of events has something for all ages and abilities in the language. Take your pick from concerts, talks, language and singing classes, storytelling sessions, and much more. Several of the events are free to attend (with registration required).

Events are open to all – from Gaelic enthusiasts to those looking to gain more of an understanding of the language and culture. Plus, the programme includes a number of  interactive sessions that are suitable for under 5s.
