Now in its third edition, the Collective Gala invites audiences of all ages to experience their unique site on Calton Hill and engage with their wide-ranging programme of family activities.

This year’s event offers the opportunity to participate in performances with Scottish artists, join behind-the scenes tours, and creative play sessions for children.

Plus, all day activities will include the opportunity to see and buy work from local makers; enjoy food from Cafe Calton; view new artworks and performance from Debjani Banerjee; explore the architecture of the site, and visit the gallery’s summer exhibitions from Katie Paterson and Richard Maguire.

The day will culminate in a celebratory procession inspired by Gala traditions – led by artists Debjani Banerjee and Kat Stanley.

With free admission, Collective Gala runs from 11am to 4.30pm on 05 September 2026.
