Various venues
Especially for the October holidays, Edinburgh Castle, Blackness Castle and Craigmillar Castle will be hosting a character from the castles history. Come along for the opportunity to meet everyone from a knight to a medieval musician.
Characters will be on hand to tell you all about the site, the time period they are portraying as well as posing for some photos.
Big Living History Week runs on selected dates from 10 to 18 October 2026, and is included in admission price.
