Come ‘gie it laldy’ with a traditional Scottish ceilidh in the Grand Gallery, plus activities throughout the National Museum of Scotland galleries.

Grab your friends for a night of reels and revelry and join the party in Scottish style.

The fantastic Jacobites Ceilidh Band will get you twirling and birling through Strip the Willow, Dashing White Sergeant and other traditional dances in one of Scotland’s biggest ceilidhs. Set in the museum’s majestic Grand Gallery, all dances are suitable for beginners with no previous experience necessary – their caller will guide you through the steps on the night.   

Between dances enjoy drinks, food, activities and explore a selection of the museum galleries at night.  

The night will include:

  • Ceilidh in the Grand Gallery  
  • Scottish themed activities  
  • Silent Disco and Karaoke  
  • Pay bars, plus food and drink available in their Museum Kitchen – open from 6.30pm
  • Access to a selection of their galleries
