Spring in Edinburgh

In spring, Edinburgh’s parks, gardens and green spaces are bursting with flowers.

A highlight in the Spring has to be the fantastic displays of snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils in the parks and gardens across the city.

Seasonal Highlights

Edinburgh is home to an abundance of trees, parks and green spaces, liberally dotted around the city, and a visit in the springtime offers a riot of colours and scents as the first flowers begin to bloom and trees start to blossom.

There’s no better time to explore Princes Street Gardens as the first shoots of Spring burst through the ground.  Marvel at the plants and flowers in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, or take a leisurely stroll through The Meadows, along the gorgeous cherry blossom-lined walkways.

A bright and breezy spring day in Edinburgh is delightful as the blossom rushes out in all the parks and squares and the city seems to sparkle. It is also a good time to visit with children as the Edinburgh Science Festival and Edinburgh Children’s Festival are on.
