Relax, sip, and enjoy a 2 hour canal cruise with The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, a whisky club renowned for its unique single-cask, single-malt whiskies and passion for discovering exceptional drams from Scotland and beyond.

During the cruise, you’ll savour 5 exceptional whiskies while enjoying a relaxed and memorable journey along Edinburgh’s historic Union Canal. This is a unique opportunity to experience the Society’s distinctive approach to whisky appreciation on the water.

The canal boat, The Lochrin Belle, has a lift so is suitable for anyone with limited mobility. There is a toilet onboard. A full safety briefing will be given on arrival to ensure the trip is comfortable and safe for everyone.

The canal boat (large purple boat) is moored outside Boroughmuir High School in Fountainbridge, next to Fountainbridge Green. It can be accessed via steps or a ramp next to the school from Viewforth Road or via Gibson Terrace and Bainfield Drive.
