Taking place in the beautiful upper galleries of the Royal Scottish Academy on Princes Street, the exhibition showcases some of the work currently being made in water-based media. Works ranges from traditional watercolour to abstract and contemporary work in acrylic and mixed media.

On display will be more than 200 paintings by RSW members and a further 100 by non-members, selected from open submission.

This free exhibition will share the building with the annual show of Turner watercolours by the National Galleries of Scotland, which this year displays the Vaughan Bequest paintings from the National Gallery of Ireland, allowing visitors to browse the work of contemporary watercolourists under the same roof as a past master of the medium.

Lift access is available for the show from the entrance at the back of the RSW building, so it is fully wheelchair accessible.
