Taking place at Summerhall Arts, Edinburgh Docufest (EDDF) boasts a highly curated programme. Touching upon different themes, historical events, and current issues, the diverse selection aims to shed light on different corners of the earth and share filmmakers’ perspectives.
The festival kicks off with Comprarsa by Vickie Curtis and Doug Anderson, a multi-awarded documentary which immerses the audience in the intense world of Ciudad Peronia, Guatemala and tells the story of a powerful youth movement sparked by Lesli and Lupe.
The second programme combines 8 shorts of different themes, styles, and aesthetics. Diverse and multicultural, viewers are taken on a journey through powerful stories and images.
Summerhall Arts has step-free ramp access via the side entrance on Summerhall Square. The venue has accessible toilets on the ground floor, first floor, on the Techcube ground floor and in the Royal Dick Bar. All dogs, including guide dogs and hearing dogs, are always welcome at Summerhall. Dogs must always be kept on a lead.
