As I See It features new work inspired by ordinary and often unlikely subjects, from the scraped and weather-beaten hulls of sailing boats to fading flowers, rural landscapes and the surfaces and shapes of our built environment.
The exhibition reflects Colin’s long-standing fascination with the creative and abstract potential of the everyday. Such a focus can become the starting point for images applying new forms and colours, while revealing distinctive rhythms, shapes and patterns.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors are invited to look again at things that might otherwise pass unnoticed and to see the familiar presented from an unfamiliar perspective.
Colin will be at Dundas Street Gallery throughout the exhibition and will be delighted to welcome visitors, talk about the work and share the ideas and processes behind it.
