On 21 June 2025, the Edinburgh Canal Festival will feature local businesses, organisations and local community groups that operate on or near the Union Canal. Visitors will have access to information about the organisations, their missions, and goals, and how to get involved or support their work.
Explore the canalside with 3 zones that stretch from the Lochrin Basin all the way to Harrison Park West as well as a number of ‘Doors Open Day’ Venues along the route. Each zone and venue will have a mix of activities, great food and music performances.
The Raft Race this year will be taking place as a separate event on Saturday 23 August 2025 from 12pm to 5pm, featuring raft building, racing and canal boat cruises for those wanting to experience being on the water with slightly less jeopardy of getting wet. Look out for local advertising later in the summer for more information.
