Edinburgh’s only free-to-enter food festival, with the added flavour of a star-studded folk music programme, returns to Assembly George Square Gardens this summer.
Featuring some of Scotland’s best street food vendors, local and international drink offerings, live music from folk musicians from across the UK, live chef demos and much more, Edinburgh Folk & Food Festival (EFFF) offers something for all tastes.
This year’s music lineup includes performances from critically acclaimed Scottish contemporary folk band Breabach, Mercury Prize nominated Seth Lakeman, trad fusion stars An Dannsa Dub and Indie trad fusion group Dlù.
Masterchef finalist Sarah Rankin and Michelin star chef Tomás Gormley will be cooking up a storm. Edinburgh Food Social will be hosting 4 tasty food workshops, and with shows catered towards children, including The Greatest Magic Show, Comedy Club 4 Kids and Explosive Science Show, EFFF is the ideal summer day out for all the family.
Entrance to the garden is free, with tickets required for some events.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, though visitors should be aware that as this is an outside space, the ground may be uneven. Accessible toilets are on site. Dogs are welcome, provided they remain on a lead, and are off-site by 8pm.
