Throughout the week they’ll be a host of events to delight, entertain and educate, all of which are organised by local groups and businesses. Enjoy everything from music and drama to tours and taster sessions.

The festival kicks off with the Gala Day on 13 June at Leith Links, where everyone can enjoy market stalls, music and performances. Leith Festival Pageant (with performances from local schools and community groups) takes place on 21 June, before the festival comes to a close with the Tattoo, complete with traditional and modern performances from across the world).

On 13 June 2026, Trinity House will be hosting a free Leith Festival Open Day. Take a self-guided tour, watch a film about Leith’s maritime history and see the fascinating objects that tell stories of life at sea. For younger visitors, take part in games and activities in the historic vaults.
