Pentlands Book Festival returns with a varied programme of talks by authors.

Events – which are free to attend – are held at Currie and Colinton Libraries and various other locations within the local area, and offer attendees an opportunity to meet and chat with authors from across a variety of genres.

Running from 06 November to 03 December 2025, this year’s programme features a variety of authors including Sandra Ireland (Over the Hills, Creative Writing Workshop), Craig Robertson & Alexandra Sokoloff (When they met, it was Murder), Gordon Lawrie (When Music and Writing Collide), Elspeth MacGregor (A Foghorn Called Charlie) and many more.

Lasting around an hour, each event will include a meet and chat with the author. There will also be the opportunity to purchase the featured book.
