Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Pentlands Book Festival returns with a varied programme of talks by authors.

Events – which are free to attend – are held at Currie and Colinton Libraries and various other locations within the local area, and offer attendees an opportunity to meet and chat with authors from across a variety of genres.

Running from 23 October to 28 November 2024, this year’s programme features a variety of authors including David Greig (Columba’s Bones), Derek Forbes (A Very Simple Mind On Tour), Marsali Taylor (Words and Hard Work: How a Book Comes Together) and Lin Anderson (Forensic Fact meets Crime Fiction).

Lasting around an hour, each event will include a meet and chat with the author. There will also be the opportunity to purchase the featured book.

All events are free to attend, but tickets should be reserved in advance on Pentlands Book Festival.
