Since its establishment in 1996, the North Berwick International Highland Games has grown in popularity. Today, not only does it attract visitors and participants from across Scotland, but from throughout the UK and across the world.

See the finest traditions of Highland Games take place, with events in the main arena including pipe band and drum major contests, heavy events (such as tossing the caber) and Highland dancing. After the competitions, witness the spectacle of the massed bands as over 1,000 pipers and drummers gather to play the traditional salute to the Chieftain of Highland Laddie.

The day culminates with the bands marching through the streets of North Berwick, with the winning bands proudly displaying their trophies.

A selection of craft stands, children’s rides and refreshment stalls will also be available throughout the day. North Berwick is 25 miles from the centre of Edinburgh. Car parking (on and offsite) will be available, for a fee. EastCoastBuses services 124 and X5 run regularly from Edinburgh city centre to North Berwick.

More details on the event, including ticket information can be found on the North Berwick International Highland Games website.
