Pierrot le Fou, Goddard’s 10th film, is a step away from the tame, romantic and intellectual stories of his earlier work. In Pierrot le Fou, he presents a wild and adventurous story, filled with bright colours, bold characters, seemingly idiotic choice after idiotic choice but carried by incredibly charismatic leads – ending the French summertime odyssey with ridicule and beautiful seaside cliffs.
Tickets, which are priced at £5.00 per person, include popcorn. Newbarns beer and other bar snacks will be available to buy, and there will be time after the movie to chat about the film.
Newbarns Taproom is located on Jane Street, just off Leith Walk. The area is well served by both Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams.
