Telling the story of the overthrowing of Summer by Winter with a dramatic battle between the mythical Summer and Winter Kings, Samhuinn is a contemporary revival of the ancient Celtic celebration, told through a spectacular performance of music and dance and immersive theatre.
Organised by Beltane Fire Society, the festival takes place under Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood Park, and will last from 6.45pm to 10pm.
As this is an outdoor performance, please dress according to the weather.
This event contains semi-nudity and uninhibited behaviour – parental/guardian discretion is advised. Under 16s must be accompanied by a full-paying adult.
A small number of food stalls run by local businesses will be available. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and drink (glass bottles/containers are not permitted). Please dispose of all rubbish responsibly.
