Scotland’s First Warriors gives visitors the chance to see more than 200 objects from the Neolithic (late Stone Age) to the Romans, including internationally significant archaeological discoveries from Scotland on display for the very first time.
A number of (chargeable) events will also be running as part of the exhibition. These should be booked in advance online.
The National Museum of Scotland is located on Chambers Street. Several of Lothian Buses services stop on South Bridge, with the museum a short walk away.
The museum has a range of facilities to help everyone make the most of their visit, including accessible parking and drop-off points, lifts to all floors, seating throughout, and portable stools that you can borrow on every level, and accessible toilets on all floors. Further information is available on the museum’s accessibility page.
Entrance into the museum and exhibition, which runs from 27 June 2026 to 16 May 2027, is free. For more details, see Scotland’s First Warriors.
