Hosted by the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick (less from 40 minutes train journey from Edinburgh) this is a great opportunity to learn, see and ask questions about the birds, mammals and cetaceans that live around Scotland’s coasts.

Starting and finishing outside the Scottish Seabird Centre, the walk will last around 90 minutes. Tour routes will vary depending on the wildlife around and interests of the group. Binoculars and wildlife ID sheets will be provided.

Participants are advised to dress according to the weather. As the route may include gentle slopes, uneven sand, rocky ground, and slippy surfaces, sturdy boots or shoes with a good grip are recommended.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead for the duration of the tour. In conjunction with Beach Wheelchairs, all Scottish Seabird Centre coastal wildlife tours are accessible for wheelchair users (subject to availability). To discuss available equipment and arrange a session for a tour, please contact Beach Wheelchair volunteers on info@beachwheelchairs.org or telephone 0300 111 2112.

Winter Wildlife Wanders takes place on select dates from 11 December 2025 to 03 March 2026. Sessions should be booked in advance online.
