Podcasters Luke Heslop and James Staples will be welcoming chef Tony Singh to Edinburgh’s Kalpna Restaurant for a morning of stories, food, and discussion.
Part of PeopleFest 2026, the Association of Social Anthropologists’ Public Anthropology Festival, this special live event explores how people and food have migrated from South Asia to the UK – and how those journeys shape the dishes we love today.
Taking place at Kalpna, an iconic Edinburgh vegetarian and vegan Indian restaurant for more than four decades, enjoy their conversation with Tony Singh over shared bites, and take part in an open Q&A with the hosts.
Kalpna Restaurant, which is located on St Patrick Square in the Southside, is on the ground floor, entered from the street, is wheelchair accessible, and has accessible toilets.
Full details and booking can be found on The Migration Menu: Live from Edinburgh with Tony Singh at Kalpna.
