This free community event brings together numerous climate related organisations, projects and individuals, all looking to help positively raise awareness and work towards creating a brighter future.

Following last year’s theme of Root & Rise, the theme for 2026 festival is Intertwined, and supports the ethos of connection between ourselves, those around us and nature, expanding from local action to global solidarity. Whether you’re beginning your sustainability journey or deeply rooted in climate work, join the festival to build a hopeful and connected community – forming a vibrant, intertwined network.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of free lively performances, workshops, art installations and themed talks, as well as wellbeing activities, face painting and activities aimed towards younger audiences.

The festival takes place at the Meadows in the Southside of the city from 12 noon to 7pm. To find out more and see the full programme, go to Edinburgh Climate Festival.
