Taking place on the third Friday of the month, these relaxed and informal sessions each explore a different museum theme through a range of interactive activities. Visitors can enjoy curator talks, object handling and creative crafts, accompanied by a warm welcome, tea and cake.

Events are free to attend, but booking is required, with spaces limited to 25 people per session. Booking for each session will open a month before the event.

The National Museum of Scotland is located on Chambers Street. A number of Lothian Buses services stop nearby on George IV Bridge and South Bridge, such as routes 8, 14, 31 and 37.
